ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING FOUR STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY LOCATED WITHIN
DAGGETT'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
AND ADAMSON'S (CLARK) ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BELOW;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the following street rights-of-way are vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished:
(A) Grove Street as it runs north from the northerly line
of I.H. 30 to the south line of Luella Avenue and
adjacent to Blocks F-4, F-3, F-2, F-1, L-1, L-2, M-2,
M-1, G-1, G-2, G-3 and G-4 in the Daggett's Addition to
the City of Fort Worth, Texas; and
(B) Luella Avenue as it runs east from the westerly line of
the A.T.&S.F. Railway Company property to the westerly
line of former Pecan Street (vacated previously by
Ordinance 2231) and adjacent to Blocks 142, 143 and
144, Adamson's (Clark's) Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, and Blocks F-4 and G-4, Daggett's
Addition; and
(C) East Eighteenth Street as it runs from the easterly
line of Grove Street to the westerly line of former
Pecan Street and adjacent to Blocks M-2 and M-3 of the
Daggett's Addition; and
(D) An unnamed street that runs from the north line of
Luella Avenue north to the westerly line of former
Pecan Street and the south line of Morgan Street and
lying between and adjacent to Blocks 143 and 144,

SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
street rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law

SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

~''~ It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating the
following described street rights-of-way: Grove Street: from the northerly
line of I.H. #30 (East Lancaster 'Avenue} northerly to the south line of Luella
Avenue, a width of 60', adjacent to Blocks F-4, F-3, F-2, F-1, L-1, L-2, M-2,
M-1, G-1, G-2, G=3, and G-4, Daggett's Addition; Luella Avenue: from the
westerly line of A.T. & S.F. Railway Company property (near the southwest
corner of Block 142, Adamson's (Clark's) Addition east to the westerly line of
former Pecan Street (vacated previously by Ordinance 2231), a width of 60',
adjacent to Blocks 142, 143 & 144, Adamson`s (Clark's) Addition and Blocks F-4
& G-4, Daggett's Addition; East Eighteenth Street: from the easterly line of
Grove Street to the westerly line of former Pecan Street, a width of 60',
adjacent to Blocks M-2 & M-3, Daggett's Addition; Unnamed Street: lying
between and adjacent to Blocks 143 & 144, Adamson's (Clark's) Addition, from
the north line of Luella Avenue north to the westerly line of former Pecan
Street and the south line of Morgan Street, a width of 60'. The subject
streets, acquired by dedication, do not contain any utility facilities. The
City Plan Commission has recommended approval of the vacation of the
above-described rights-of-way.
DISCUSSION
Mr. Gary Curtis, surveyor, representing the A.T. & S.F. Railway Company, owner
of all abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the above
described street rights-of-way as shown on the attached map.
The subject streets, acquired by dedication, are not open on the ground and
constitute a portion of the A.T. & S.F. Railway Company Railyards as provided
to the Gulf Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Company by the City of Fort IJorth
under Ordinance #266 on March 7, 1882. The `subject vacation request is being
made in order to clarify the vacation of these streets.

The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a $1.00
consideration fee will satisfy the interest of the City in this public
right-of-way.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections t:o thi:s request. The City Plan Commission has approved the waiver
of the standard requirement for a replat until such time as this property may
be redeveloped.
