AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING AND DISCONTINUING TERRITORY
FROM WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT
t~R'1`H, TEXAS ; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL AN1El~
EVFItY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HERE~iITH; PROVIDING
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL PRIOR
ORDINANCES NOT IN DIRECT CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT 4dORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described land and territory within the corporate limits of
the City of Fort Worth, Texas, be and the same is hereby disannexed and
discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, said territory being
described as follows
BEING a tract of land out of the J J. Reese Survey, Abstract Na.
1308, Tarrant County, Texas, being a portion of that tract known as
Air Force Plant No. 4, more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BF]GINI~ING at the southwest corner of the said Air Force Plant No. 4
tract, said corner being in the north line of Clifford Street;
THENCE N 00° 26' 00" E, 8.5 feet along the west line of the Air Force
Plant No. 4 tract to a paint;
TIIEN<^`E N 89° 41' 00" E, 2866.01 feet to a paint;
THE[~E S 88° 30' 00" E, 268.13 feet to a paint in the south. line of
the Air Farce Plant No 4 tract, said point being in the north line of
Clifford Street;
THEN{:E S 89° 41.' 00" W, 3134.12 feet to a point in the south line of
the Air Force Plant No. 4 tract and the north line of CIi~t-----
to the Point of Beginning and containing 35499.51 squ ~,~,~a
0.5854 of an acre of land

That the above described territory is shown on Map Exhibit '°A" on file in the
office of the City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, which ma~a is
expressly incorporated herein by reference for the purpose of illustrating and
depicting the location of the hereinabove described territory.
SE7C~IC~1T 3.
T9~at this ordinance shall and. does amend every prior ordinance in conflict
herewith, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct
conflict, this ordinance shall be, and. the same is hereby made cucmxlative.
SECTIQW 4.
That it is hereby declared to be the intent of the City Council that the
sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are
severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this
ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judcunent or decree of
any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect
any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of
this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council
without the incorporation in this ordinance of any unconstitutional phrase
clause, sentence, paragraph or section.

RECOMMENDATION
:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance disannex-
ing a portion of Clifford Street from the corporate limits of the City of
Fort Worth.
DISCUSSION:
Gary Santerre, Director of the Transportation/Public Works Department, acting
on behalf of the City of Fort Worth, has requested a boundary adjustment with
the City of White Settlement. The adjustment will disannex a portion of Clif-
ford Street from the City of Fort Worth; this area will then be annexed by
White Settlement. A Joint Resolution and Agreement for this area was
approved by the Fort Worth City Council on December 19, 1989 (M&C G-8370,
Joint Resolution and Agreement No. 1492). It was approved by the White Set-
tlement City Council on February 13, 1990. The total area being considered
for the disannexation and ETJ release by the City of Fort Worth is 0.5854
acres. There are no current residents in the area.
The Development Review Committee recommended approval of the disannexation
and ETJ release on November 22, 1989. The City Plan Commission recommended
approval of the disannexation and ETJ release on November 29, 1989.

The site is located at the North right-of-way of Clifford Street at Bomber
Road at the Southwest Corner of General Dynamics. If disannexed, it would be
released from City Council District 7.
