AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING TWO UTILITY EASEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND(S); REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1.
THAT THE two utility easements located in the northeast
Portion of Block 1, Hulen Mall Addition, as recorded in Volume
388-107, Pages 54 and 55, P R.T.C.T., and as more specifically
described in attached Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated
herein be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and permanently
closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land(s) in the above described vacated
utility easements is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner(s) as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

Being an easement situated in the remainder of Block 1 Hulen Mall Addition an
addition to the City of Fort Worth Texas as recorded in Volume 388/107, Page
54, Plat Records, Tarrant County Texas, said easement being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows
COMMENCING at the point where the southerly line of Lot 8 81ock 1 klulen Mall
Addition an addition to the City of Fort Worth Texas, as recorded in Cabinet
A Slide 246 of said records intersects the westerly right of way line of South
Hulen Street the beginning of a non tangent curve to the right
THENCE 35 75 feet with the arc of said curve and said right of way line through
a central angle of 00° 37' 10 with a radius of 3307 58 feet and a long chord
which bears S 34° 20' 18 W 35 75 feet to the centerline of an existing 20 foot
water main easement as recorded in Voltune 388/107 Page 54 of said records, ~

RE OMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating two
utility easements located in the northeast portion of Block 1, Hulen Mall
Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-107, Pages 54 and 55, P.R.T.C.T.
DISCUSSION:
May Centers Associates Corporation, owner of the subject property, has
requested that the City vacate the above-described utility easements as
delineated in the attached field notes and in the detailed map.
The subject easements, acquired by dedication, are platted but do not con-
tain any utility facilities. The subject vacat ion is made in order to
utilize the vacated easement as part of the expansion of Fo1ey's Department
Store.
The Director of Real Property Management has determined that a $1.00 con-
sideration fee satisfies the City of Fort Worth's interest in this request.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objection to this request. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
