Approve the transfer of $6,727 from the Special Gifts Fund 88, Project No, 036009-00, Build a Fire Safety House, to the General Fund 01, Fire Operations Division Account No. 36-30-00; and 2. Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts in the General Fund O1 by $6,727 and appropriations in a like amount in the General Fund O1, Fire Operations Division Account No. 36-30-00 from increased revenues. DISCUSSION: On November 7, 1988, the Missouri Pacific Railroad donated $8,000 to the City to start the planning and assist,in the building of a fire safety house. Additional donations of $1,300 were received from the Southwest Lions Club. On September 26, 1989, City Council approved the expenditure of $2,573 from the gift fund for the purchase of a special trailer frame for the house (M&C G-8225). The remainder of the donated funds ($6,727) are primarily for labor costs, since most of the building materials as well as the towing truck were donated. Funds for labor, materials, and miscellaneous parts have been utilized from Fire Operations in order to expedite construction. Approval of this recommendation would repay those expenses. FINANCING: Sufficient funds are available to transfer from Special Gifts Fund 88, Project No. 036009-00, Build a Fire Safety House. Upon approval and completion of Recommendations 1 and 2, sufficient funds will be available in General Fund O1, Fire Department Operations Division, Account No. 36-30-00.
