AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A 100-YEAR FLOODWAY LIMITS EASEMENT AS
DELINEATED ON THE PLAT OF LOT 3R-l, BLOCK 5, CARTER
INDUSTRIAL PARK ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF
FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the following be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed and extinguished:
The 100-year floodway limits easement as delineated on
the plat of Lot 3R-1, Block 5, Carter Industrial Park
Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-134, Page 79, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
floodway limits easement is hereby released and shall revert to
the adjacent owner as provided by law, provided, however, that a
replat showing the amended floodway limits line is duly approved
and filed.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating a 100
year flood limits line delineated on the plat of Lot 3R-1, Block 5, Carter
Industrial Park Addition, recorded in Volume 388-134, Page 79, P.R.T.C.T.,
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
DISCUSSION:
Jim Kasson, surveyor, representing Mrs. Baird's Bakeries, Incorporated, owner
of all abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the above
described 100 Year Flood Limit Line as delineated on the plat of the subject
property and further identified in the detailed map, attached.
The 100 Year Flood Limit Line, is being amended by replat of the subject
property and has been approved by the Department of Transportation and Public
.Works. The Flood Limit Line is being altered in accordance with development
plans for the establishment of facilities for Mrs. Baird's Bakeries,
Incorporated.
The Director of Real Property Management has determined that a $1.00
consideration fee satisfies the City of Fort Worth's interest in this request.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objection to this request. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
