HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 10766~~ t .e ~ w APPROPRIATION - SPECIAL TRUST F NI~ ORDINANCE NO . 0 (p~_, AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND FE72, GIFTS, ACCOUNT N0. 488200, PARK AND RECREATION - GENERAL PARK IMPROVEMENTS, CENTER NO. 080502110030 OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1991 BY THE SUM OF $63,704.26 AND APPROPRIATING SAID $63,704.26 TO THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND FE72, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION,"ACCOUNT NO. 541200, PARK AND RECREATION - GENERAL PARK IMPROVEMENTS, CENTER NO. 080502110030, SAID FUNDS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF GENERAL PARK IMPROVEMENTS, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THiS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE TO PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1990-91 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts in the Special Trust Fund FE72, Gifts, Account No. 488200, Park and Recreation - General Park Improvements, Center No. 080502110030 by the sum of $63,704.26and appropriating said $63,704.26 to the Special Trust Fund FE72, Building Construction, Account No. 541200, Park and Recreation - General Park Improvements, Center No. 080502110030 for General Park Improvements SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court or competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full. force and effect . ~~'~1~~1~ ~E~OR~~ SECTION 3. ~~~;~~,~~~ That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordina,~~~ ~R~~~O~i~ and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the~"`s~,rrr-e-- except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of ..,- ~' , ~• said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. Accept a contribution in Special Trust Fund FE72, Account No. 488200, Center No. 080502110030., General Park Improvements, from the Junior League of Fort Worth, Inc. in the amount of $63,704.26 for the use of the Park and Recreation Department for general park improvements, and 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by $63,704.26 in Special Trust Fund FE72, Account No. 541200, Center No. 080502110030, General Park Improve- ments, from increased estimated receipts. DISCUSSION For the past 16 years the Park and Recreation Department has leased a por- tion of Trinity Park (20 acres) to the Junior League of Fort Worth, Inc., (M&C C-10800) for the purpose of sponsoring Mayfest. In addition to the Junior League, Mayfest is sponsored by the Streams and Valleys Committee, the Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 and the Park and Recreation Department. The Junior League has used the proceeds of Mayfest to fund river beautifica- tion and other community programs. It also contributes a portion of May- fest proceeds to the City of Fort Worth for the use of the Park and Recre- ation Department for general park improvements. FINANCING Upon approval and completion of recommendations No. 1 and 2, sufficient funds will be available in the amount of $63,704.26 in Special Trust Fund FE72, Center No. 080502110030, General Park Improvements, for the use of the Park artd Recreation Department for general park improvements. The expenditure will be made from various accounts.
