HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 10451M G' ORDINANCE N O AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND 72, PROJECT 515300-00, NEIGHBORHOODS U.S.A. CONFERENCE, OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1990 BY THE SUM OF $55,000 AND APPROPRIATING SAID $55,000 TO THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND 72, PROJECT 515300-00, NEIGHBORHOODS U S.A. CONFERENCE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING THE NEIGHBORHOODS U S.A. CONFERENCE, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1990 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts in the Special Trust Fund 72, Project No 515300-00, Neighborhoods U S.A. Conference, in the amount of $55,000 and increased appropriations of said amount in the Special Trust Fund 72, Project No 515300-00, Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference, for the purpose of conducting the Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference. SECTION 2 Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 10363 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth SECTION 5 This ordinance shall take effect and be in dull force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Accept and record in the Special Trust Fund 72, Project No. 515300-00, Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference, registration fees to be collected from the conference, estimated to be $55,000, 2. Accept and record in the Special Trust Fund 72, Project No. 515300-00, Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference, any donations received to defray the expenses of the conference, 3. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by any donations received and the estimated $55,000 in registration fees in the Special Trust Fund 72, Project No. 515300-00, Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference from increased revenues, and 4. Authorize the expenditure of the above estimated $55,000 and future donations in Special Trust Fund 72, Project No. 515300-00, Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference, for the May 1990 Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference. fl T CCI ICC TnN Fort Worth was asked to host the 1990 Neighborhoods U.S.A. Conference which will be held in May 1990. Fort Worth neighborhood organizations anal community leaders have been instrumental in the development of thi's conference which was originally scheduled to be held in Kansas City. When Kansas City officials determined that they would be unable to hold the conference, Fort Worth was asked to renew its offer to serve as the 1990 host city. _ r -.~ !, ~~ ,s ~ ,~ ~ The Neighbo~rhoods'U.S.A. Conference is designed to provide training to citizens on how to effectively work as a unit and how to work with their cities for}the betterment of their neighborhoods.
