~• r g' ORDINANCE N O. . ~! ~a~S ~ - AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND, FUND 72, PROJECT 502101-06, GARDEN CENTER PERSONNEL, OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1989 BY THE SUM OF $17,000 AND APPROPRIATING SAID $17,000 TO THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND, FUND 72, PROJECT 502101-06,GARDEN CENTER PERSONNEL, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE SALARY AND BENEFITS OF A. CLERK TYPIST AT THE FORT WORTH BOTANIC GARDEN CENTER, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS• SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1989 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall. also be increased estimated receipts in the Special Trust Fund, Fund 72, Project No 502101-06, Garden Center Personnel, by the sum of $17,000 and appropriating said $17,000 to the Special Trust Fund, Fund 72, Project No 502101-06, Garden Center Personnel for the purpose of funding the salary and benefits of a Clerk Typist at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Center SECTION 2 Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 10151 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the Cit y of Fort Worth. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Accept a gift of $17,000 from the Fort Worth Garden Club, Inc. for the purpose of funding the salary and benefits of a Clerk Typist at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Center, and record receipt of this money in Special Revenue Fund 72, Project No. 502101-06, Garden Center Personnel, and 2. Adapt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing appropriations and estimated receipts by $17,000 in Special Revenue Fund 72, Project No. 502101-06, Garden Center Personnel, and 3. Approve expenditures of $17,000 for the salary and benefits of this Clerk Typist, and 4. Waive collection of any indirect costs. Discussion The Fort Worth Garden Club, Inc. has announced a gift of $17,000 to the Park and Recreation Department to fund the salary and benefits for one year of a Clerk Typist to assist the Botanic Garden staff with rentals of the Botanic Garden Center and the Dorothea Leonhardt Lecture Hall. The Garden Club has announced its intention to contribute every three (3) months to continue the funding of the clerical position. Notice of this gift was received favorably by the Park and Recreation Advisory Board at its meeting on December 20, 1988. GIFT FOR BOTANIC GARDEN POSITION Financing Upon adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, sufficient funds will be available in Special Trust 72, Project No. 502101-06, Garden Center Personnel, to fund the program described. Expenditures will be made from Index Codes 600478 (Regular Salaries), 405514 (Retirement), 600783 (Health Insurance) and 405233 (FICA Medicare).
