ORDINANCE NO. ~d
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC OPEN SPACE EASEMENT
LOCATED IN LOT 1, BLOCK 30, EDWARD HEIRS ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE
IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AND EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH , T E XAS
SECTION 1 .
THAT a portion of the public open space easement located in
the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 30, Edward Heirs Addition to
the City of Fort Worth, said portion being more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein,
be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and
extinguished.
SECT ION 2 .
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
portion of public open space easement is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, PROVIDED
however, that the remaining portion, as also described in
Exhibit "A" hereto, shall be retained as a public open space
easement.
SECTION 3.
T hat all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4 .
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It .is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 6'
X approximately 20' long open space easement, located at the southeast
corner of Lot 1, Block 30, Edwards Heirs Addition, as recorded in Vol.
388-057, Page 649, P.R.T.C.T.
DISCUSSION
Mr. John F. Tinsley, owner of the subject property, has requested that
the City vacated the above described open space easement, as shown on
the attached map.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is platted. The subject
vacation is made in order to utilize the vacated open space easement as
part of the development of the subject property.
The Director of Real Property Management has determined that a $1.00
copsideration fee satisfies the City of Fort Worth's interest in this
request.
Reviewing City department have raised no objection to this request.
