AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $592,610 1N THE GOLF FUND, FUND 39,GOLF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT
NO 80-40-05, AND DECREASING THE UNRESERVED, UNDESIGNATED FUND BALANCE BY THE SAME
AMOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSFERRING SAID FUNDS TO GOLF FUND 39, SAID FUNDS TO BE USED
TO ENHANCE PLAY, INCREASE REVENUES, PREVENT FUTURE EMERGENCY REPAIRS, IMPROVE SECURITY
AND MAKE IMPROVEMENTS OR ADDITIONS TO PRO SHOPS, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for .the
Fiscal Year 1988-89 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased
appropriations in the Golf Fund, Fund 39, Account No 80-40-05, in the amount of $592,610,
thereby decreasing the unreserved, undesignated Fund balance by the same amount, for
the purpose of enhancing play, increasing revenues, preventing future emergency
repairs, improving security and making improvements or additions to pro shops
SECTION 2
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid,
inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision,
opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of
sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full
force and effect
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 10151 and all other
ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the
provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and
appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll
this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City
Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth
SECTION 5
'This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached supplemental
appropriations ordinance increasing appropriations by $592,610 in Golf Fund
39, Golf Management Account No. 80-40-05, from the Golf Fund 39 Unrestricted
Fund Balance.
Discussion
The $592,610 will be used to enhance play, increase revenues, prevent future
emergency repairs, improve security and make improvements or additions to pro
shops. The following recommended items have been identified for funding
1. Sand Traps (all courses) $127,500
2. Miscellaneous equipment (turf equipment
and vehicle for Golf Director) 100,000
3. Roofing (Rockwood and Pecan Ualley) 90,000
4. Personal Services (Sycamore) 50,000
5. E-Z-Go Textron Cart Repairs (all courses) 38,115
6. Irrigation Parts 18,995
7. Fire Ant Control (all courses) 17,000
8. Water Fountains (all courses) 13,000
9. Post and Cahle (all courses where possible) 11,000
10. Security Alarms (all maintenance compounds) 10,000
11. Concrete Pads for Sand (all main t. compounds) 10,000
12. Netting for Driving Range (Pecan Valley) 10,000
13. Pro Shop Improvements (Sycamore) 10,000
14. Fairway Marking System (all courses) 10,000
15. Pump Rebuilding (Z. Boaz) 6,000
16. Restroom Facility (Rockwood main t. compound) 5,000
17. Soil Samples (all courses) 1,200
18. Overseeding Supplies (all courses) 65,000
Financing
Upon adoption of the Supplemental Appropriations Ordinance, sufficient funds
will be available in the Golf Fund 39, Management Account No. 80-40-05. The
balance remaining in Unrestricted Fund Balance after this appropriation is
estimated to be $342,000.
