HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 10289~ ~~ T _. it "~ ~ ,~~'y =~4 ORDINANCE NO ~~~(~.~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE WII.L ROGERS MUNICIPAL COLISEUM CIP FUND 66, WRMC STUDY, ACCOUNT NO 065007-00, OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988-89 BY $50,000 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE WILL ROGERS MUNICIPAL COLISEUM CIP FUND 66, WRMC STUDY, ACCOUNT NO 065007-00, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING SAID FUNDS TO THE FORT WORTH CULTURAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO BE USED FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE WII.L ROGERS AUDITORIUM, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1988-89 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts of $50,000 in the Will Rogers Municipal Coliseum CIP Fund, Fund 66, Account 065007-00, thereby increasing appropriations by $50,000 for the purpose of paying said funds to the Fort Worth Cultural Advisory Committee to be used for the procurement of consulting services for the renovation of the Will Rogers Auditorium SECTION 2 Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reas on by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or , parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 10151 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth. SECTION 5 This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Accept a gift of $50,000 from the Sid Richardson Foundation for the pur- pose of assisting in studies and plans for the renovation of the Will Rogers Auditorium, 2. Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance in the amount of $50;000, which will result i~n an increase in estimated receipts in the Wi h Rogers Municipal Coliseum (WRMC) CIP Fund 66, and an increase in appropriations in WRMC CIP Fund 66, WRMC Study, Account Number 065001-00, from increased revenues, and 3. Authorize the payment of $50,000 to the Fort Worth Cultural District Committee for the purpose of procuring consulting services for the reno- vation of the Will Rogers Auditorium. BACKGROUND. In April, 1987, the Sid Richardson Foundation authorized a grant to aid in the continuation of studies and plans for renovation at WRMC. The Cultural District Committee's current studies will fit within the requirements of the grant, as well as serve the City's interest. The Cultural District Committee will invest approximately $700,000 in consulting services. The $50,000 grant will be combined with other private funds to pay for consulting services on the following.
