AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A PORTION OF HARDGROVE LANE AS MORE SPECIFI-
CALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, SAID PORTION BEING LOCATED
WITHIN THE SARAH GRAY SURVEY IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
T ARRANT COUNTY , TEXAS ; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH , TEXAS
SECT ION 1 .
THAT the portion of Hardgrove Lane as described more particu-
larly in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference for all purposes; said portion being located
within the Sarah Gray Survey Abstract 558 as recorded in Volume
8588, Page 1489 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas be
and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished.
SECT ION 2 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 .
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

OF HARDGROVE ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY
CITY OF FORT WORTH
SOi3TH FORT WORTH AIRPORT
BEING a portion of Hardgrove Road right-of-way, conveyed to the
City of Fort Worth by the State of Texas by quit claim deed recorded in
Volume 8588, Page 1489 of the Decd Records of Tarrant County, Texas
located in the Sarah Gray Survey, Abstract No. 558, Tarrant County,
Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the original north right-of-way line of
County Road 1064, closed by City of Fort Worth Ordinance 9412, said
point being N 89° 50` W, a distance of 643.8 feet from the southeast
corner of a tract of land conveyed to the City of Fort Worth for the
South Fort Worth Airport by deed recorded in Volume 8035, Page 116, of
the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE N 89° 50' W, with the original north right°of-way line of said
County Road 1064, a distance of 671.5 feet;
THENCE N 20° 50' E, 21.7 feet to a point on a curve, the center of said
curve bearing N 20' S0' E, 1,014.93 feet;
THENCE northwesterly with said curve through a central angle of 27° 16'
for a distance of 483.0 feet to the end of said curve;
THENCE N 41' S5' W, 192.8 feet to a point on the city limit line
between the City of Fort Worth and the City of Burleson;
THENCE North with said city limit line, 178.9 feet to a point on a
curve, the center of said curve bearing S 46' 17' W, 1014.93 feet;
THENCE southeasterly along said curve through a .central angle of 1° 48'
for a distance of 32.0 feet to the end of said curve;
THENCE' S 41' S5' E, 293.9 feet to a point at the beginning of a curve,
the center of said curve bearing N 48° OS' E, 894.93 feet;
THENCE southerly with said curve through a central angle of 47° 56' for
a distance of 748.7 feet to the end of said curd's;
THENCE S 89' S1' E, 305.7 feet;
THENCE S 0' 10' W, 75.1 feet to the place of beginning and containing
141,593 square feet or 3.25 acres of land.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating the
remaining portion of Hardgrove Lane from the west City limits line
approximately 1350' east within the Fort Worth Spinks Airport, located in
the Sarah Gray Survey, Abstract 558, Tracts 2, 2C, 6A and 6B, and conveyed
to the City of Fort Worth by the State of Texas by a quit claim deed
recorded in Volume 8588, Page 1489, of the Deed of Records of Tarrant
County, Texas.
DISCUSSION
Mr. Mike Pyles, Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth, with the City of
Fort Worth being the owner of all adjacent property, has requested the City
vacate the ~ bove described street right-of-way as shown on the attached
map and further described in the attached survey description.

The subject alley right-of-way, is not open on the ground and does not
contain any utility facilities. The subject vacation request is being made
in order to include the vacated right-of-way as part of the development of
the Fort Worth Spinks Airport.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objection to this request. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
