HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 10297-~ ,. -:~_ ORDINANCE NO. ~~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF A DRAINAGE EASEMENT AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND BEING LOCATED IN THE RIDGLEA ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT the portion of the drainage easement as more r particularly described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto r' and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes and being located in Lot A-R, Block 36 of the Ridglea Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, the plat of which is recorded in Volume 388-123, Page 33 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished. SECTION 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECT ION 3 . That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Lot PAGE 1 5-2-8 **PZ-1551 AA=R ~°'~ wi u v r ie Anderson Road (V-89-4) RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 15' wide X 240' long drainage easement located between Lot A-R, Block 36, Ridglea Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-123, Page 13, P.R.T.C.T. DISCUSSION Mr. Raymond L. Goodson, Jr., engineer and representative of owners of all abutting properties, has requested that the City vacate the above described drainage easement, as shown on the attached map and further described by the attached field notes. The subject easement, acqu ired by dedication, is platted. A substitute drainage easement is to be provided under replat of the subject property and has been approved by the Transportation and Public Works Department. The Director of Real Property Management has determined that a $1.00 consideration fee satisfies the City of Fort Worth's interest in this request.
