AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE GENERAL FUND, FUND O1, INDEX CODE
055012, MISCELLANEOUS INCOME, OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988 BY $3.300.00
AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT TO THE GENERAL FUND, POLICE DEPARTMENT, SPECIAL SERVICES
DIVISION, ACCOUNT NO 35-32-00, FOR THE PURPOSE AE_PURCHASING MAGNETIC SIGNS AND
PURCHASING AND INSTALLING RED AND BLUE GRILL LIGHTS FOR UNMARKED POLICE VEHICLES TO BE
USED SOLELY FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF ALLEGED VIOLATIONS OF THE CRIMINAL LAWS OF THIS
STATE, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILTTY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR
ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF -THE CITY 'OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the
Fiscal Year 1988-89 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased
estimated receipts of $3,300 00 in the General Fund, Fund O1, Index Code 055012,
Miscellaneous Income, and appropriating said amount thereby increasing appropriations
by $3,300 00 for the General Fund, Police Department, Special Services Division, Account No
35-32-00 for the purpose of purchasing magnetic signs and purchasing and installing red
and blue grill lights for unmarked Police vehicles to be used solely for the investigation of
alleged violations of the criminal laws of this state.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid,
inoperative or void- for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision,
opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of
sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That thi s ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 10151 and all other
ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the
provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and
appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll
this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City
Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth.
SECTION S
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Increase estimated receipts in General Fund O1, Index Code 05501?,
Miscellaneous Income, earned from restitution payments, sales and
auctions, aril recoveries of drug-related cash and equipment, arrd
2 Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing
appropriations to the General Furrd by appropriating $3,300 00 from
increased est imated receipts t o the General Fund O1, Police Department
Special Services Account No 35-32-00, and
3 Authorize the use of $3,300 00 to purchase magnetic signs and to purchase
arrd install red arrd blue grill lights for unmarked vehicles in the
Special Services Division, to be used solely for the investigation of
arry alleged violations of the criminal laws of this state

The Police Department wi 11 use these funds to purchase magnetic door signs
arrd red arrd blue grill 1 fights for eighteen (18) Special Services
Division unmarked vehicles These modifications will afford the unmarked
vehicles the opti~~rr of becoming marked vehicles and working with regular
marked police or traffic units or in working with uniformed officers on raids
or serving warrants when regular patrol or traffic units are not available
FINANCING
Sufficient funds are available irr General Fund O1, from deposits of monies
received from restitution payments to the Police Department in the arrrount
of$3,300 00 for adoption of the above supplemental appropriation ordinance
appropriating $.3,300 00 to the General Furrd O1, Police Department Special
Services Division Account No 35-32-00 Expenditures will be made from Index
Code 274142 for magrr~.tic door signs arrd red arrd blue grill lights for 18
Special Services Division unmarked police cars
