AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE GENERAL FUND, FUND O1, PLANNING,
DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,201.00, AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT TO THE GENERAL
FUND O1, PLANNING DEPARTMENT, ACCOUNT NO 22-10-00, INDEX CODE 250548, THEREBY
INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND O1, BY THE SAME AMOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
FII.LING A VACANT PLANNING POSITION, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS
ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the
Fiscal Year 1988-89 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased
estimated receipts in the General Fund O1, Planning Department, in the amount of
$19,20100, and appropriating said amount to the General Fund O1, Account No 22-10-00,
thereby increasing appropriations in the General Fund O1, by the same amount for the
purpose of filling a vacant planning position.
SECTION 2
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid,
inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision,
opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of
sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That thi s ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 10151 and all other
ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the
provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and
appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll
this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City
Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the Cit y of Fort Worth.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
Increase estimated receipts in General Fund Ol, by $19,201 received from the
North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), and
Adopt the attached supplemental appropriations ordinance increasinq
appropriations iri the General Fund O1, Planning and Growth Management Account
No 22-10-00 by $19,201 from increased estimated receipts, and
Authorize the expenditure of the above monies for a planning position in the
General Fund Ol, Pl arinir~g and Growth Management Account No 22-10-00
DISCUSSION
The City of Fort Worth has now been given $19,201 from the North Central
Texas Council of Governments for reimbursem?nt for a portion of the time that
are Associate Planner worked on the Master Thoroughfare Plan (MTP) This was
approved by Council on M&C No C-11170 on September 6, 1988 This planner
has resigned and the position has been vacant for four months The City
staff is requesting that the $19,201 be allocated through a supplemental
appropriation to the Planning Department so that this important planning
position care be filled later this fiscal year by reducing salary savings
FINANCING
Deposit $19,201 in the General Fund O1, Index Code 051169, received from
local agencies Increase estimated receipts in General Furid O1 by $19,201
Adopt a supplemental appropriation ordinance in the General Fund O1, Planning
and Growth Management, Account No 22-10-00. The expenditure will be made
from Index Code 250548
