AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING CERTAIN STREE'T'S AND PORTIONS OF STREETS AND ALL
ALLEYS AND UTILITY EASEMENTS WITHIN A CERTAIN AREA, AS
MORE SPECIFICALLY nESCRIBED HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL O:E THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT 13th Avenue, West Cooper Street, 12th Avenue, Pruitt
Avenue, West Terrell Street, Tim Street, West Humbolt Street, Worth
Street, 12th Street, Orr Street, 11th Avenue and Cannon Street, or
portions thereof as more specifically described in Exhibits "A"
through "O" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for
all purposes, and all of the alleys and utility easements located
within an area bounded by the Texas and Pacific Railroad right-of-
way on the north, the Fort Worth Rio Grande Railroad right-of=way on
the east, West Rosedale Street on the south, and the Burlington
Northern Railroad right-of-way on the west, be and the same are
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
Thay this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 15' X
957' east/west alley and a 50' X 132' portion of Little Street, all located in
Block 4, Lot 2 thru 10, Sunshine Hill Addition, as recorded in Vol. 309, Page
69, P.R.T.C.T., Lots A & 6, Pearl Richardson Sub, as recorded in Vol. 388D,
Page 11, P.R.T.C.T., Block 23, Lots 3 thru 5 and 6 thru 14, Englewood Heights
Addition, as recorded in Vol. 310, Page 67, P.R.T.C.T., and Block 32, Lots 1
thru 11, Englewood Heights Addition, 2nd Filing as recorded in Vol. 309, Page
14, P.R.T.C.T., as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
Discussion•
Daniel P. McPeod, with Eve rage, Smith, and Farrington, representing the Fort
Worth Independent School District, owner of all abutting property, has request-
ed the City to vacate the above described street and alley right-of-way, as
shown on the attached map.
The subject alley right-of-way, acquired by dedication presently contains sewer
and electric utility facilities. The subject street does not contain any util-
ity facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to replat the
vacated alley and street right-of-way with adjacent property, to construct the
McRae Elementary School.
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that no monetary con-
sideration for the vacation and transfer of this public right-of-way is neces-
sary.
Reviewing City departments and private uti 1 i ty compani es have raised no objec-
tion to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted with
adjacent property, and required utility easements being retained or relocated
at the applicant's expense. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
