HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 10148%+ IN e ORDINANCE N O L.c~Gi~~f v AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE AVIATION FUND, FUND 40, INDEX CODE 091512 IN THE AMOUNT ~OF $800.00 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT 'I'O THE AVIATION FUND, FUND 40, ACCOUNT NO 55-20-02, THEREBY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AVIATION FUND, FUND 40, BY THE SAME AMOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECOGNIZING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND PRIVATE SECTOR TOWARD THE DEDICATION CEREMONIES AND AIR SHOW ON JULY 2, 1988, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1987-88 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts in the Aviation Fund, Fund 40, index code 091512 in the amount of $800 00 and appropriating said amount to the Aviation Fund, Fund 40, Account No 55-20-02, thereby increasing appropriations in the Aviation Fund, Fund 40, by the same amount for the purpose of recognizing the contributions of the business community and private sector toward the dedication ceremonies, and air show on July 2, 1988 SECTION 2 Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reas on by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 9926 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 The City Secretary of the City of Fort. Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth. SECTION 5 This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. DISCUSSION On July 2, 1988, the City of Fort Worth Aviation Department dedicated Fort Worth Spinks Airport In an effort to offset costs associated with the ceremony and air show, donations were solicited from the business community by the Aviation Advisory Board Cash contributions were received as follows Carter & Burgess, Inc. $500.00 L.H Lacy Co. $300.00 Non-cash contributions were received as follows Coca-Cola Bottling Company of North Texas 5 cylinders of product at $'8.00/ea. $ 40.00 Gas Technics 2 cylinders of helium at $40 00/ea 2 balloon attachments at $25.00/ea. (Cost estimates) $130 00 Rife Island Corporation 782.2 gallons Avgas Regular Price - $1 88/gal. ~~, DATE.
