6400 BLOCK OF ELLIOT REEDER ROAD
EAST TO ITS TERMINUS
OMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 40' X
3,681' portion of Elliot Reeder Road east fror~ approximately the 6400 block
and located between and adjacent to the Henry P. Tuggle Survey, Abstract
1513, and the William R. Reeder Survey, Abstract 1303, as recommended by the
City Plan Commission.
DISCUSSION..
Mr. James W. Schell, representing L-aidlaw Waste Systems Company, Inc ,owners
of all abutting properties, has requested that the City vacate the above
described portion of a street right-of=way, as shown on the attached map.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by subscription, is partially
opened on the ground, but not improved. It does not contain any utility
facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to include the
vacated right-of=way with adjacent property as part of an improved land fill
operation.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the Cit y
of Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objection to this request. A satisfactory replat; as normally required, has
been waived by the Plan Commission due to the circumstances of this project.
