RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached amendments to
the Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Codes of the City of Fort Worth
nrcriiccTnnl
Under the current Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Codes of the City of
Fort Worth, all licenses and business registrations are due to be renewed in
January each year. This creates a once a year tremendous workload and
backlog to renew over 9000 licenses and registrations. Approval of the
attached amendments will bring the codes up to date and allow for spreading
this workload over the entire year eliminating the need for overhire and
overtime work to handle the renewals and reduce the delay in providing
renewed licenses and registrations back to contractors.
