ORDINANCE NO. _~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A 10-FOOT BY 100-FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED IN
THE MEADOWS, PHASE II, ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, SAID EASEMENT BEING MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED
HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That, proper arrangements for relocating existing telephone and
street light utility facilities having been made, the 10-foot by
100-foot utility easement which runs east and west between Lots 30
and 31, Block 21 of the Meadows, Phase II, Addition to the City of
Fort Worth, as recorded in Volume 388-173, Page 13, of the Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is vacated, aban-
doned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Recommendation
It is .recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 20 foot
x 154 foot utility easement, located between Lots 1R and 2R on the west and Lot
3R on-•the east, Block 5, Boaz Summit Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-90,
Page ~2. Volume 388-90, Page 31, Volume 388-90, Page 29, respectively,
P.R.T...C.T., as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
Discussion
Bill Renfro, President, on behalf of Renfro Foods, Inc., owners of all abutting
property, has requested that the City vacate the above described utility
easement, as shown on the attached map.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is platted but contains no
utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize
the vacated easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the
property area.
The Director of Real Property Management has determined that a $1.00
consideration fee satisfies the City of Fort Worth's interest in this request.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request.
