AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING AN ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE MCCLELLAN SUBDIVISION
OF THE FIELD'S WELCH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, AS MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING
FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND(S); REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT, proper arrangements to relocate existing sewer, electric,
gas, and telephone utility facilities having been made; the ten (10)
foot wide by fifty (50) foot long north/south alley located adjacent
to and between Lots 8 and 9, Block 3/14 of the McClellan Subdivision
of the Field's Welch Addition to City of Fort Worth, Texas, as re-
corded in Volume 63, Page 47 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County,
Texas, be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed
and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land(s) in the above described vacated
public alley and right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to
the adjacent owner(s) as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that
easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective
utilities and any and all existing and prospective drainage require-
ments as necessary.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Recommendation
It is_.~recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating the 10'
wide x, 50' long north/south alley located between Lots 8 and 9, Block 3,
Field's Welch Addition, as recorded in Volume 63, Page 47, D.R.T C.T as
recommended by the City Plan Commission.
Discussion
Mrs. Carolyn Bell, Associate Planner in the Planning Department for the City of
Fort Worth, representing all adjacent property owners, has requested the City
to vacate the above described alley right-of-way, as shown on the attached map.
The subject alley right-of-way, acquired by dedication, presently contains
sewer, electric, gas and telephone utility facilities. The subject vacation
request is made in order to replat the vacated alley right-of-way with the
adjacent property, to expand the building area and provide more usable yard
space.
The acquired and appropriate monetary consideration, Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00}, has been placed in escrow with the Real Property Department as
required by the Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and pr iv ate utility companies have raised no
objection to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted
with adjacent property, and any required utility easements being retained or
relocated at the applicant's expense. A satisfactory replat has been
submitted.
