Recommendation
It is recommended that City Council approve the attached ordinance which
revises Fire Line and Raw Water service rates, with an effective date of
billing on or after October 1, 1988.
nicruccinn
In July 1988, the City Council approved fiscal year 1988-89 water and sewer
rates for retail customers. The Fort Worth Water Department also furnishes
untreated water to a few raw water customers and emergency service to
customers owning private fire protection systems (fireline customers).
Setting appropriate rates for these services required knowing the cost of
untreated water to be supplied by Tarrant County Water Control and
Improvement District No. 1.
In mid-August, the District furnished Fort Worth with its proposed budget and
rates. Thus, the following special rates are recommended for fiscal year
