Recommendation
It is recommended that the attached ordinance be adopted effective March 1,
1988, amending Section 35-57(b) of Chapter 35 of the Fort Worth City Code,
providing for a water tap reduction fee schedule.
Discussion
On October 13, 1987 (M&C G-7286), the City Council approved Ordinance No. 9982
which revised downward adjustment of water tap fees and revised upward
adjustment of sewer tap fees.
The attached ordinance amends Ordinance No. 9982 by providing a recommended
water meter size reduction fee schedule.
These fees are based on the cost of one route person and a pickup truck for one
hour plus material to complete the changeover.
This fee schedule was prompted by developer interest to reduce cost involving
access fees which are based on meter size and square footage and by individuals
concerned with reducing their monthly service charge
