HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 10086-A ORDINANCE N0. ~~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN- GUISHING A PORTION OF MEADOWSIDE ROAD SOUTH, FIVE (5) UTILITY EASEMENTS AND TWO (2) PUBLIC OPEN SPACE EASEMENTS ALL LOCATED WITHIN THE QUAIL RIDGE ESTATES, PHASE 2, IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, ALL MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING A REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID VACATED PORTIONS OF MEADOWSIDE ROAD SOUTH; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE 50 foot wide by 466.85 foot long portion of Meadowside Road South as more specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes, the five (5) ten foot wide utility easements and two (2) twenty foot by twenty foot public open space easements more specifically described in Exhibit "B" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes, all located in the Quail Ridge Estates, Phase 2 Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, the plat of said Addition being described in Volume 388-201, Page 20 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished. SECTION 2. That the fee to the above described vacated portion of the public street and right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner(s) as provided by law. r~ -K;~ ~ .~ SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained. Heath Survey, Abstract No. 641, situated in the southwest portion of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a portion of the corrected plat of Quail. Harris representing Quail Ridge Joint Venture, owner of all abutting property, has requested the City to vacate the above described street, public open space easements and utility easements, a shown on the attached map and further described in Exhibits 'A', 'B', and 'C'. The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is unconstructed and does not contain any utility facilities.
