DISCUSSION
Mr Paul L. Hill, Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Tandy Corporation,
owner of all abutting property, has requested the City to vacate the above
described street, alley and utility easements, as shown on the attached map
and further described in Exhibit A.
The subject street and alley rights-of-way and utility easements, acquired by
dedication, presently contain water, sewer, and electric utility facilities.
Acceptable arrangements have been made with the various utility service pro-
viders to relocate the subject utilities at the applicant's expense. The
subject vacation request is made in order to replat the vacated street, alley
and utility easements with adjacent property, to expand the Tandy Technolog y
Square
Satisfactory arrangements have been made with the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth for the appropriate monetary consideration. Such consideration
has been placed in a special account for the Lamar Street vacation to be used
in conjunction with improvement`s adjacent to the library and new Tandy
Technology Square
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no ob-
jection to this request, subject to the vacated rights-of-way and easements
being replatted with adjacent property and any required utility easements
