AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT SUTTER STREET BETWEEN
WEST ROSEDALE STREET AND LOCKE AVENUE AND THE
EAST-WEST ALLEY BETWEEN ALAMO AVENUE AND SUTTER
STREET IN BLOCK 45, FACTORY PLACE SUBDIVISION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE
VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Sutter Street between West Rosedale Street and
Locke Avenue and the east-west alley between Alamo Avenue
and Sutter Street in Block 45, Factory Place Subdivision
to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the
same are hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as
a street, alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character
whatever, save and except that easements are reserved for
any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street and alley is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by
law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Albert J. Komatsu and J. J. Thomas, Inc. , with consent of all adjoining
property owners, have requested the City to vacate Sutter Street between
West Rosedale Street and Locke Avenue and to vacate the east-west alley
between Alamo Avenue and Sutter Street in Block 45, Factory Place Sub-
division as shown on the attached map.
Abandonment of the street and alley will permit replatting of the land with
the vacated right-of-way to provide additional building and parking area.
The City Departments and the Private Utility Companies have reviewed this
request and have voiced no objection to the proposed vacation provided sub-
ject right-of-way is replatted with adjoining properties, easements are retained
for existing utilities and a 20 foot alley is dedicated along the west line of
Lot 10, Block 44, Factory Place Subdivision.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed the request and recommends adoption of an
ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to the condi-
tions recommended above by the City Departments and Private Utility Companies.
The applicants have submitted a replat which incorporates the conditions
requested by the City Plan Commission.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted closing the subject street and
alley as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
