Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 9917i 3 ,~yi _.- ORDINANCE N0. / '._/ AN ORDINANCE DECREASING THE FUNDING APPROPRIATED TO GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT N0. 24-80-00 IN THE AMOUNT OF $336,538 AND AP- PROPRIATING SAID $336,538 TO GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT N0. 90-91-00, FUND 66, PROJECT 065006-00, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING ADDI- TIONAL CONSTRUCTION OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE EQUESTRIAN FACILITY AT THE WILL ROGERS MEMORIAL COMPLEX; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERA- BILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1. That the appropriation made to General Fund Acct. No. 24-80-00, Tarrant County Convention Center Support, is hereby reduced in the amount of $336,538, and that the appropriation to General Fund Acct. No. 90-91-O1, Fund 66, Project 065006-00 is hereby increased in the amount of $336,538, in order to provide additional funding for construction of the multi-purpose equestrian facility at the Wi11 Rogers Memorial Center. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordi- nance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. ,_.. ti:, SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 9690 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instances said conflicting provisions are hereby expressly re- pealed. SECTION 4. The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and Sections 1 and S in the minutes of the City Council and by filing the ordinance in the ordinance records of the City. Authorize the transfer of $336,538 from General Fund Account No. 90-91-01, Special Transfers, to Fund 66, Project 065006-00, Multi-Purpose Equestrian Facility at Will Ro ers Memorial Complex to provide funds for the Change Order No. 2 (258,038 to City Secretary Contract No. 15502 with Spaw-Glass Construction, Inc. and proposed in the following recommendation No. 3 and Change Order No. 1 ($78,500) to City Secretary Contract No. 15539 with Terra-Mar as proposed in M&C C-10433; and 3. Authorize the City Manager to execute Change Order No. 2 for the Multi-Purpose Equestrian and Livestock Facility at the Will Rogers Memorial Complex to City Secretary Contract No. 15502 in the amount of $258,038.00, making the total contract amount $17,994,892.00. BACKGROUND On December 16, 1986 (M&C C-10039), the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute City Secretary Contract No. 15502 with Spaw-Glass Construction, Inc. in the amount of $17,571,882 for the Multi-Purpose Equestrian and Livestock Facility at the Will Rogers Complex. On February 3, 1987 (M&C C-10103}, the City Council authorized a correction of the contract amount approved in awarding M&C C-10039 to $37,592,200. Change Order No. 1 was approved by the City Council on May 19, 1987 , (M&C C-10307) to provide casings for pier holes, removal of unforeseen underground structures, removal of an underground manhole, and other necessary utility adjustments for a total change in the contract amount of $144,654.00. PROPOSED CHANGE ORDER N0. 2 This Change Order is requested to: 1. Provide for the enlargement of the TESCO transformer courtyard to allow for the installation of new transformers to serve the complex. Staff has reviewed the cost estimate for this proposal and concurs that the quoted price is fair and reasonable and recommends approval of this proposed change order.
