Recommendations
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating a portion
of Hagler Avenue (21' wide right-of-way) from Forest Park Boulevard, westerly
180' to a 16' wide north/south alley, containing approximately 4,456 square
feet; a triangular-shaped portion of Forest Park Boulevard located adjacent to
the east property line of Lot 2, Block 4, Prospect Heights Addition, containing
about 1,966 square feet; and a 16' wide north/south alley from West Lowden
Street north to Hagler Avenue 1-ocated adjacent to the west property line of Lot
2, Block 4, Prospect Heights Addition, as recorded in Volume 63, Page 59 and
60, P. R. T.C.T., containing approximately 960 square feet, as recommended by the
City Plan Commission.
Discussion
Suzanne Haynes, owner of abutting property, has requested that the City vacate
the above-described street and alley rights-of-way, as shown on the attached
map.
The subject street and alley rights-of way, acquired by dedication, are open on
the ground, and contain sewer. and .electric utility facilities. The subject
vacation request is made in order to rep at the vacated- rights-of-way with
adjoining property, to expand the building area, and provide more usable yard
space.
The required monetary consideration, in the amount of $100.00, has been placed
in escrow with the Real Property Department, as determined by the Director of
,,~. Real Property Management for the City of Fort Worth.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject rights-of-way be vacated as requested.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, provided the vacated rights-of-way are replatted
with adjacent property `and any necessary utility easements are provided. A
satisfactory replat has been submitted. APPROVED BY
