HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2829 No. 2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1914, KNOWN AS THE PARKING METER ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; CONCERNING THE INSTALLATION, REGULATION AND CONTROL OF THE USE OF PARKING 11ETERS; PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ADDI- TIONAL PARKING MERS ON THE :iIEST SIDE OF HOUS- TON STREET BETWEEN BELKNAP AND BLUFF STREETS IN THE CITY OF FORT 'NORTH IN THE ONE (1) HOUR METER ZONE; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE CF ALL OTHER TRAFFIC ORDI- NANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT EXCEEDING THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00); AND PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORS WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I. That Section XX of Ordinance No. 1914 limiting parking to one (1) hour be amended to include the following street: STREET EXTENT SIDE Houston From Belknap Street to Bluff Street ' West SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be and is hereby declared to be cumulative of all other ordinances of the City of Fort Worth affecting traffic and shall not operate to repeal or gffect any such ordinance or ordinances, except insofar as the provisions of such ordinance or ordinances are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, in which instance or instances those provisions shall be and they are here- by repealed. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate or permit, suf- fer or allow anyone to violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of an offense, and upon conviction shall be fined not to exceed the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef- fect from and after the date of its passage and publication as re- quired by law. APPROVED AS TO FORM: City attorney
