~,~ :, ORDINANCE N0. ~=t-=-..-~5- AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN- GUISHING A PORTION OF PREWITT ROAD, A PUBLIC STREET AND RIGHT-OF-WAY, FROM THE NANCY ROBERTS SURVEY, ABSTRACT 1275, ON THE NORTH TO THE PHILLIP GREEN SURVEY, ABSTRACT 566, ON THE SOUTH, SAID PORTION BEING MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS a SECTION 1. THAT THE portion of Prewitt Road from the Nancy Roberts Survey, Abstract 1275, on the north to the Phillip Green Survey, Abstract 566, on the so uth, said portion being more specifically described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes, be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extinguished as a public street right- of-way. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public , street and right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the ` adjacent owner as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities and any and all existing and prospective drainage requirements, as necessary. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. C ~ z SECTION 4. The subject vacation request i s made i n order to replat the vacated riytzt-of-way with the adjacent property, to expand the hu~i 1 f~i ny area and provide more usahl e yard st~ac,e.
