WINDMILL STREET LYING AND BEING BETWEEN LOT 12 AND PARTS OF LOTS 17 AND 18, GETZENDANER=S ADDITION (VACATED) TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AND THAT PORTION OF SWIFT STREET LYING AND BEING BETWEEN PARTS OF THE SOUTH LINE OF LOTS 10 AND 11, GETZENDANERIS ADDITION (VACATED) , AND BLOCK 1 OF WILLIAMS AND HARRISON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS OR- DINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1 . That the following areas be, and the same are hereby, closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as streets or pub- lic thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever: That portion of Windmill Street more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the easterly right of way line of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company and the south line of Windmill Street, Getzen- daner' s Addition (Vacated) to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, said point located easterly as measured normally 252 feet from the centerline of the southbound main track of said Railroad Company; Thence north 29 degrees 30 minutes west 57 .45 feet to a point in the north line of said Windmill Street; Thence east along the north line of said street 64 .34 feet to a point located easterly as measured normally 308 feet from the centerline of said main track; Thence south 29 degrees 30 minutes east parallel with the easterly right of way line of said Railroad Com- pany 57 .45 feet to a point in the south line of Wind- mill Street; Thence west along the south line of said street 64.34 feet to the point of beginning. That portion of Swift Street more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the easterly right of way line of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company and the south line of Swift Street, Getzen- daner's Addition (Vacated) to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, said point located easterly as measured normally 252 feet from the centerline of the southbound main track of said Railroad Company; Thence north 29 degrees 30 minutes west along said easterly right of way line 45 .96 feet to a point in the north line of Swift Street; Thence east along the north line of said street 64.34 feet to a point located easterly as measured normally 308 feet from the centerline of said main track; Thence south 29 degrees 30 minutes east parallel with the easterly right of way line of said Railroad Company 45 .96 feet to a point in the south line of said Swift Street; Thence west along the south line of said street 64.34 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . That the fee to the aforesaid areas is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent property owner as provided by law, save and except that an easement ten (10) feet in width and extending five (5) feet on each side of the centerline of said streets is reserved for public utilities . SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Membersof the City Council Re: Requested Closing Portions of City of Fort Worth Windmill Street and Swift St. Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company is expanding its existing railroad yards in the vicinity of Windmill Street and Swift Street, and has requested that portions of Windmill Street and Swift Street be closed to provide for this improvement. The Public Works Department and the City Planning Department have investi- gated this request. The Rock Island Railroad has agreed to pay for reloca— tion of all utilities in the portion of the street to be closed, including relocation of a 2-inch water line and a City street light. All interested parties are agreeabie to the closing under these conditions. It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted closing a portion of Windmil Street and Swift Street, fifty-six feet in width, east of and parallel to the present east right-of-way lune of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company.
