AN CRDINANCE EXTENDING THE4BOUNDA.RY LIRITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT OFFICIAL RECORD WORTHDAILY;NEfnTSPAPEER PUBLISHED INNG THAT THE DSAIDCCITY INACCORDANCE RTISED IN A CITY SECRETARY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF ��. WORTH, TEX. THE CITY CHARTER; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBINCs A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT 140=3 TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort 'orth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 12 miles southwest from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or wart of the J. W. Williams, S. A. & M. G. R.R. Co., E. Littlepage, I. Flores, A. Costello, R. J. Ware, J. Korticky, J. J. Albirado, Benjamin Thomas, L. Goff, B. F. Pace, J. H.Bostick, F. C.Wilburn, S. B. Wilson, J.W. Haynes, J. A. Bostick, P. Mullinghaus, C. Armstrong, F. W. Kruger, John Wilson, William Tipton, A. Martin, John Gilleland, R. L. Franklin, James L. Hewitt, W. N. Riddle, S. Armstrong, B. Cook, J. M. Mullinghaus, J. S. Foster, McKinney and Williams, S. B. Kirkham, Socorro Farm Co., E. D. Neely, R. Daggett, S. M. Hunter, J. E. Neely, W. S. Neely, J. R. Leath, and D. Morris Surveys; and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort 'Worth, in the east right-of-way line of County Road No. 1035 at its intersection with the south line of the J. M. B. Smith Survey; THENCE south, southwesterly, south, west, south, west, south, west, south, west, and south along the east, southeasterly, east, south, east, south, east, south and east right-of-way lines of County Road No. 1035, with its meanders, to its intersection with the south line of Tarrant County; THENCE west, along the south line of Tarrant County to its intersection with the east lin-- of the J. Hunter Survey; T_�NCE north, along the east line of said survey to its intersection with the south line of the D. Morris Survey; THENCE east, along the south line of the D. Morris Survey to its southeast corner.; THENCE north, along the east lines of the D. Morris and A. J. Isaacs Surveys to the intersection of the east line of the said A. J. Isaacs Survey with the southeasterly line of the Fort Worth and Rio Grande Railroad right- of-way; THENCE northeasterly, along the southeasterly line of the Fort Worth and Rio Grande Railroad right-of-way, with its meanders, to its intersection with the south line of the J. W. Asbury Survey produced west; THENCE east, along the said line to and along the south lines of the J. W. Asbury and P. T. I. Cc. Surveys to the northeast corner of the R. J. Ware Survey; THENCE south, along the east line of the R. J. Ware Survey to the northwest corner of the A. Costello Survey; THENCE east, along the north line of the A. Costello Survey to its intersection with the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 1035; THENCE north, east, north, northeasterly, and north along the west, north, west, northwesterly, west and north right-of-way line ofCounty Road No. 1035, with its meanders, to its intersection, with the south line of the J. M. Smith Survey, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth; THENCE east, along the present 'Jity Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the south line of the J. M. B. Smith Survey, to the place of beginning and co ntkning approximately 13.96 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and. does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con- flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 38435 heretofore adopted and passed on May 16, 1958, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter =!I of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of_ competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the -remaining portions of the ordinance. Section 5. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
