AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A 15' X 60' UNNAMED STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY DESCRIBED
MORE SPECIFICALLY HEREIN, SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY LYING WITHIN
THE A. N. CURRY SURVEY OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVID-
ING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXASa
SECTION 1.
That the portion of the unnamed street right-of-way lying
within the A. N. Curry Survey of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and
being more specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference for all purposes, be and the same
is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
street and right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owners as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in f u11 force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

RECOMPIENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating an unnamed
Tl~a"L X 60' section of street right-of-way 1 ocated i n the 1300 bl ock of Eastchase
parkway on the east side of Eastchase Parkway approximately 300' south of
nterstate Highwy I-30, as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
DISCUSSION
George West, on behalf of United Savings Association of Texas, owner of abutting
property, has requested that the City close the above-described section of
unnamed street right-of-way, as shown on the attached map.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, i s constructed and
improved, but contains no utility facilities. The subject request is made t o
permit replatting of the right-of-way with the adjacent property in order to
expand the building area and provide more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objection
t o this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted with
adjacent property. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
