ORDINANCE N0. ~ ~~_
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING ASHER LANE, A PUBLIC STREET AND RIGHT-OF-WAY
LOCATED IN THE RIVER PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, SAID PUBLIC STREET AND RIGHT-OF-WAY BEING MORE
SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF
FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the public street and right-of-way known as Asher Lane
located in the River Park Addition to the City of Fort Worth, as
recorded in Volume 388-152, Pages 34 and 35 of the Plat Records of
Tarrant County, Texas, said street being more specifically described
in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference for all purposes, be and the same is vacated, abandoned
and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
street and right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements
are retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities and
any and all existing and prospective drainage requirements, as
necessary.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

beginning of a curve to the left whose radius is 2,979.51 feet and whose Long chord bears
North 61° - 29' - 35" East, 241.29 feet,
THENCE along said curve in a northeasterly direction through a central angle of 04° - 38'
- 29" an arc length of 241.36 feet to a point; said point being in the south line of. a
tract of land as conveyed to Ryan Mortgage Company - Dallas/River Park Joint Venture as
recorded in Volume 7657, Page 942 and Volume 7652, Page 933, Deed Records, Tarrant
County, Texas;
THENCE North 89° - 56' - 00" East leaving said Missouri-Pacific Eai.lway Company
right-of-way a distance of 114.21 feet to a point, said point being the beginning of a
curve to the right whose radius is 3,039.51 and whose long chord bears South 58° - 05' -
13" best, 81 61 feet;
THENCE along said curve in a southwesterly direction through a central angle of O1° - 32'
- l8" an arc length of 81.61 feet to a point;
THENCE South 58° - 56' - 16" West a distance of ?67.26 feet (actual) (South 50° - 56' -

It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating Asher Lane
from State Highway 183 easterly approximately 241 feet to its terminus point
containing 19,477.83 square feet or 0 4471 acre of land, located adjacent to
the Missouri and Pacific railroad right-of-way, as recorded in Volume 388-152,
Pages 34 and 35, P.R.T.C.T as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
Discussion
Ryan Mortgage Company, owner of abutting property, has recomrended that the
City vacate the above described street right-of-way, as shown on the attached
map.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is improved with a
gravel surface and does contain an electric utility facility. The subject
vacation request is made in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with the
adjacent property, to expand the building area and provide more usable yard
space.
The Land Agent is not charging a fee since the applicant will dedicate a
replacement roadway in place of the vacated right-of-way, which in effect
equals a land swap of equal value.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted
with adjacent property, and any required utility easement being retained. A
satisfactory replat has been submitted
