ORDINANCE NO. ~~~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED IN THE CHAMBERLIN
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
BEING MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS;
SECTION 1.
That the 16-foot wide, east/west public alley located in
Block 107, between and adjacent to Lots 4-20 and 21-36 in the
Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
First Filing, said addition being recorded in Volume 63, Page 21 of
the Plat Records of Tarrant County, be and the same is vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished as a public alley.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
alley right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities and any
and all existing and prospective drainage requirements, as neces-
sary.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passaged and it is so or-
dained.

CHAMBERLIN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ADDITION,
21-36 BETWEEN BOURINE AND HERVIE STREETS
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating the 16 foot
wide east/west alley located in Block 107, between and adjacent to Lots 4-20
and 21-36, Chamberlin Arlington Heights, First Filing as recorded in Volume 63,
Page 21, P.R.T.C.T., as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
Discussion•
Ellis and Tinsley, Inc., owners of the abutting property, with the consent of
all other abutting owners, have requested the City to vacate the above
described alley right-of-way, as shown on the attached map.
The subject alley right-of-way, acquired by dedication, presently contains
sewer, electric, gas and telephone utility facilities. The subject vacation
request is made in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with adjacent
property, to expand the building area, and provide more usable yard space
The required and appropriate monetary consideration, $19,720 00, has been
placed in escrow with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land
Agent for the City of Fort Worth
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted
with adjacent property, and any required utility easements are retained, or
relocation of the existing utilities at the applicant's expense A
satisfactory replat has been submitted.
