UTILITY EASEMENT IN BLOCK 3 , SANDERS ADDITION To
THE CITY OF FORT WORTE, TA12ANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
MtTENDING FROM TEE SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LIKE OF WEST
THIRTEENTH STREET TO THE NORTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE
OF WEST LANEASTER STREET; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF TEE INTEREST OF IS CITY OF FORT OR
IN SAID LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
NTRTH, TEXAS :
SECTION 1.
That the nort:h-south utility easement in Block 3, Sanders
Addition to the City of Fort Wbrtb, Tarrant County, Texas,
said easement being 217 feet in length and 13 feet in width,
extending from the south right of way line of West Thirteenth
Street to the north right of way line of West Lancaster
Street, be and the same is hereby extinguished, vacated,
closed and permanently abandoned as an easement for public
utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Th in the fee to
the land in said easement above described is hereby released
and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided
by law.
SECTION 3 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
berewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance all take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

The Texas Employment Commission, owner of all adjoining property, has
c requested that the City vacate the north-south utility easement in
Block 3, Sanders Addition, said easement being 217 feet in length and
18 feet in width and extending from the south right-of-way line of West
Thirteenth Street to the north right-of-way line of West Lancaster Street
as shown on the attached map.
The subject easement is the remains of an alley closed in 1967 but not
replated with adjacent property.
Subject easement contains a six (6) inch sanitary sewer line.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this re-
quest and have no objections provided the existing six (6) inch sewer
line is abandoned at no cost to the City.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adop-
tion of an ordinance vacating the utility easement as requested, subject
to the condition recommended above by the City Departments and private
utility companies.
The Applicant has made satisfactory arrangements with the City Water
Department to abandon the six (6) inch sewer so that it is no longer
subject to maintenance by the City,
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject utility
easement as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
