AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
OF A PORTION OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF WOODWAY
DRIVE IN THE 5400 BLOCK ADJACENT TO LOT 10R,
BLOCK 30, WEDGEWOOD ADDITION AS DEDICATED
IN PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 388-93, PAGE 561,
PLAT RECORDS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS ; PROVIDING
FOR THE REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;,
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS :
SECTION 1.
That a portion of the right-of-way of Woodway Drive
in the 5400 Block adjacent to Lot 10R, Block 30, Wedgewood
Addition as dedicated in plat recorded in Volume 388-93,
Page 561, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more particularly
described as follows :
BEGINNING at a point in the east line of said
Lot 10-R, South no degrees 21 minutes East
9 .90 feet from the northeast corner of said
Lot 10-R, said beginning point being on a
curve, the center of which bears South 26 degrees
31 minutes 35 seconds West a radius distance of
106 .0 feet;
THENCE: Southeasterly, along said curve to the
right, an arc distance of 50.7 feet to a point
on a curve, the center of which bears South 56
degrees 12 minutes 58 seconds East, a radius
distance of 266 .0 feet;
THENCE : Southwesterly, along said curve to the
left, an arc distance of 94.38 feet to a point
in the east line of said Lot 10-R;
THENCE : North no degrees 21 minutes West, with
the east line of said Lot 10-R, 118.46 feet to
the place of beginning and containing 2, 098.93
square feet of land more or less
be and the same is hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed as a right-of-way for street purposes .
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said right-of-way is
hereby released and shall revert to the owner of said lot as
provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained
for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and it
is so ordained.

' The Director of Public Works, with the consent of Haydn Ho Cutler, owner of
Lot 10R,Block 30, Wedgwood Addition, has requested that the City vacate a
portion of the right-of-way of Woodway Drive in the 5400 block adjacent to
Lot 10R, Block 30, Wedgwood Addition as shown on the attached map.
The requested vacation involves a property exchange with the owner of Lot 1OR
by which the City will secure necessary right-of-way for the realignment of
Woodway Drive. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recom-
mends its approval subject to conditions. These conditions have now been
satisfied,
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-of-
way as requested.
