ORDINANCE N0. ~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE UTILITY EASEMENTS DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY
HEREIN, SAID UTILITY EASEMENTS LYING WITHIN THE KARNES
ADDITION IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; REPEALING ALIT
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the two 10-foot wide utility easements lying within
Lot 1-R of the Karnes Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas, as shown on the plat of said addition recorded in
Volume 388-80, Page 4, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and
the same are vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extin-
guished. One of the utility easements vacated hereby runs north to
south between Virginia Lane and Panola Street approximately 120 feet
east of Edgewood Street, and the other runs east to west 222 feet
between the north-south utility easement and the east boundary line
of said Lot 1-R.
SECTION 2.

That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating two 10'
I.€.,i;,^~`~" 7"wide utility easements, located in Lot 1-R, Karnes Addition, as recorded in
Volume 388-80, Page 4, P.R.T.C.T., with the north/south easement being located
from Virginia Lane to Panola Street approximately 120' east of Edgewood Street,
and t'r~e east/west easement beginning on the east property line approximately
140' south of Virginia Lane and extending westerly about 222' to its
intersection with the aforementioned north/south 10' wide utility easement.

L. Charles Edmonds, Jr., owner of the abutting property, has requested that the
City vacate the abgve-described utility easements, as shown on the attached
map
The subject easements, acquired by dedication, are platted but contain no
utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize
the vacated easements as part of the subject property, thus expanding the
building area and providing more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City
of Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised n o
objections to this request
