There is no net effect on the General Fund appropriation total resulting from this action, and 2) Increasing estimated receipts in the General Fund O1 by $217,774, Index Code 066274 and increasing appropriations in the General Fund O1, Account Number 80-30-30 in the Athletics Section of the Park and Recreation Department to fund the softball program nicruccinn When the original appropriation ordinance fixing the appropriation for the various General Fund departments was prepared, that portion of debt service attributable to the Police Department and Information Systems and Services Department for the repayment of the public obligation debt was reversed. The recommended action corrects this error The 1987-88 budget currently has no provision for a softball program Discussions with the Park and Recreation Department director indicate that in h i s opinion sufficient revenues can be generated by the program to off set i is $217,774 direct costs Staff therefore recommends this supplemental appropriation of these revenues to fund the softball program for 1987-88. Financing The supplemental appropriation action affecting the Police and Information Systems and Services Departments is an intra-fund transfer not affecting the General Fund total The supplemental appropriation to fund the softball program in the Park and Recreation Department is to be financed from increased revenues in the General Fund APPRO1fED B1G www wg CITY COI~N~JL NOY ~ t~A~ ~~ _ Cii~ Secr~etaxjT ~ ttu- SUBMITTED FOR I Mt (;j;y 9I F~AX~ YIrD':.k, '1'~~ CITY MANAGER'S DISPOSITION BY COUNCIL.
