ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A CERTAIN 8' BY 8' UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED
WITHIN LOT 1, BLOCK III OF THE SOUTHLAND TERRACE ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AS MORE SPECIFICALLY
DESCRIBED HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE 8' by 8' utility easement located within Lot 1,
Block III of the Southland Terrace Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, being square -shaped and adjacent to another utility
easement on the easternmost boundary of said lot, and shown on the
plat of said addition recorded in Volume 388G, Page 56 of the Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is vacated, aban-
doned, and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance to vacate an 8' X 8'
(total 64 sq ft.) utility easement located in the Southland Terrace Addition,
Block III, Lot 1, as recorded in Volume 388G, Page 56, P R T C.T.
Discussion
Southland Terrace Joint Venture, owner of the subject property, has requested
that the City vacate the above described easement, as shown on the attached
map.
The subject easement is platted but does not contain any utilities
It is the opinion of the Real Property Development that the interest of the
City in the vacation of said easement has no monetary value to the City,
therefore no fee is requested.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objection to the request
