HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 10021'i ^ :~ ' o~ - .^•~ ~, /ooa ~ ORDINANCE NO ~©©Z~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS OF THE GENERAL FUND BY $1,418.50 AND APPROPRIATING TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, FIRE DEPARTMENT, FIlZE TRAINING DIVISION ACCOUNT NO 36-80-00 THE SUM OF $1,418.50 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1988 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE PURCHASE OF VIDEO PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILTTY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. B E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1987-88 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated revenues in the General fund of the City of Fort Worth of $1,418 50 and increased appropriations in the General Fund, Fund O1, Fire Department, Fire Training Division, Account No 36-80-00 of the City of Fort Worth by appropriating thereto the sum of $1,418.50 for the purpose of funding the purchase of video production equipment. SECTION 2 Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts. of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 9926 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance`'-are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed SECTION 4. The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date into the minutes of the City Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth. ~- ti a~ _ ?' r ~w SECTION 5. Recommendation. It is recommended that the City Council. 1. Approve the transfer of $1,418.50 from the Special Gift Fund 88, Project Numfier 036005-04, Video Production/Fire Department, to the General Fund Ol, Fire Department, Account Number 36-80-00, and 2. Adopt a supplemental appropriation ordinance which will result in an increase in estimated receipts in the General Fund and an increase in appropriations in General Fund O1, Fire Department, Account Number 36-80-00 or $1,418.50. Discussion Monies have been donated in the amount of $1,400.00 to the City of Fort Worth Fire Department Donation Fund for the purchase of video equipment. These funds were donated specifically for video equipment to enhance current educational capability and to complement existing equipment. These funds were deposited in the Special Gift Fund #88 Video training aids and equipment are becoming increasingly important in Fire Training. The equipment to be purchased with these funds will be utilized to record and document recruit training activities. Funding. Sufficient funds ($1,418.50) are available in Special Gift Fund 88, Project Number 036005-04, Video Production/Fire Department for transfer to the General Fund A supplemental appropriation ordinance will be necessary in the General Fund which will increase both appropriations and estimated receipts in General Fund O1, Fire Department 36-80-00 in tine amount of $1,418.50.
