ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE UTILITY EASEMENT DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY
HEREIN, LOCATED IN THE HOME ACRES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVID-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1 .
That the utility easement lying and being situated within
Lot C, Block 6 of the Home Acres Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, described more specifically in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all
purposes, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 .
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

It is recommended that the City adopt an ordinance vacating a 145.3' x 5' north/
south utility easement located adjacent and parallel to the east property line of
Lot "C", Block 6, Home Acres Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-J, Page 573,
Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
BACKGROUND
Rowland Freeman, owner of abutting property, has requested that the City vacate
the 5' wide north/south utility easement, as described above, and as shown on the
attached map.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is platted, but contains no utility
facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize the vacated
easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the building area and
providing more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised
no objections to this request.
