ORDINANCE N0. ~~//
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A PORTION OF THE 6000 BLOCK OF VALLEY VIEW DRIVE
AS FURTHER DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF
FEE IN SAID LAND(S); REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECT ION 1 .
THAT THE portion of the 6000 Block of Valley View Drive, a
public street and right-of-way in the City of Fort Worth, said
portion lying and being situated in the Ridglea Park Addition to the
City of Fort Worth and being described more specifically in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for
all purposes, be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently
closed and extinguished.
SECT ION 2 .
That the fee to the land(s) in the above described vacated
public street and right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacE~nt owner(s) as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that
easements area retained for any and all existing and prospective
utilities and any and all existing and prospective drainage require- Y
ments, as necessary.
SECTION 3 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECT ION 4 .
This ordinance shall take effect and be in fuAl force and ef-
feet from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

Field notes for the City of Fort Worth for: -
A portion of Valley View Drive which lies between Lots 15 and 16
in Ridglea Park, an Addition in the City of Fort Worth in Tarrant
County, Texas as said Lots appear upon the map recorded in volume
388-37, page 67 of the Tarrant County Deed Records.
Beginning at the northeast corner of said Lot 16 for the inter-
section of the south line of said Valley View Drive and the west
line of Ridglea Lane.
Thence south 85 degrees-35 minutes west, along the north line of
said Lot 16 fo.r the said south line of Valley View Drive,
90-04/100 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 16 and the
northeast corner of Lot 89 in Block 51 of Ridglea Addition as
said Lot 89 appears upon the map recorded in volume 388-G, page
14 of the said Deed Records.
Thence north no degrees-15 minutes east, crossing said Valley
View Drive 50-16/100 feet to the southwest corner of said Lot 15
and the southeast corner of Lot 21 in Block 51 of said Ridglea
Addition, in the north line of said Valley View Drive.
Thence north 85 degrees-35 minutes east, along the south line of
said Lot 15 for the said north line of Valley View Drive, 90 feet
to the southeast corner of said Lot 15 for the intersection of
the said north line of Valley View Drive and the said west line
of Ridglea Lane.
Thence south no degrees-12 minutes west, along the east terminus
of Valley View Drive for the said west line of Ridglea Lane,
50-16/100 feet to the place of beginning and containing 4500
square feet.

Pf~`~~~MENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a portion of
the 6000 block of Valley View Drive, a 50' right-of-way extending 90.04 feet
westward from the west line of Ridglea Lane, and located adjacent to Lots 15 and
16, Ridglea Park Addition, as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
DISCUSSION
Mr. Leroy Bursey, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
vacate the above described street right-of-way as shown on the attached map.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is not open on the
ground, but contains water and gas utility facilities, and provides drainage for
public water runoff. The subject vacation request is made in order to replat the
vacated rights-of-way with adjacent property, to expand the building area and
provide more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted with
adjacent property, to include retention of required drainage and utility ease-
ments. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
