AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED REVENUES ACCRUING TO
THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR FISCAL YEAR
1985-1986 BY TRANSFERRING THERETO $1,660.00 FROM SPECIAL
GIFT FUND NO. 88, PROJECT N0. 501002-00, AND APPROPRIATING
FROM THE INCREASED EST IMATED REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND
THE SUM OF $1,660.00 TO PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT
NO. 50-15-09 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE ACTIVITIES OF
THE ADULT HEALTH SCREENING PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR A SEVER-
ABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1 .
That the estimated revenues accruing to the General Fund of the
City of Fort Worth for the Fiscal Year 1985-1986 are hereby in-
creased by transferring thereto $1,660.00 from Special Gift Fund
Account No. 88, Project No. 501002-00, Public Health, to the General
Fund 01, Account No. 50-15-09, Health Department; and that, in addi-
tion to providing the City Manager with such other revenue as may be
secured from various sources included in Ordinance No. 9458 and in
the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be appropriated
from the increase of revenues of the General Fund the sum of
$1,660.00 to Public Health Department, General Fund Index Code No.
2841.90, to fund the activities of the Adult Health Screening
Program.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be cumulative of all provisions of ordi-
nances and of the Code of the City of Fort Worth, Texas (1964), as
amended, except where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct
conflict with the provisions of such ordinances and such Code, in
which event conflicting provisions of such ordinances and such Code
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 .
It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council
that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of
this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence,
paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitu-
tional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent
jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the
remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of
this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City
Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such
unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
SECTION 4.
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed
to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and
Sections 1 and 5 in the minutes of the City Council and by filing
the ordinance in the ordinance records of the City.

SECT ION 5 .
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1) Authorize the transfer of $1,660 from Special Gift Fund No. 88, Project No.
501002-00 to the General Fund of Account Number 50-15-09, Public Health,
2) Adopt the supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing appropriations in
the General Fund (Public Health Department) Account No. 50-15-09, and also
increasing estimated receipts by $1,660, and,

3) Approve the expenditure of $1,660 from donated citizen funds for use in the
purchase of supplies and equipment needed in the Adult Health Screening
Proyram.
DISCUSSION
Citizens of Fort Worth have expressed their appreciation of services provided
through the Adult Health Screening Program by making donations to the Public
Health Department, Nursing Division, for the purpose of providing support to this
program.
These donations will be used to purchase supplies and equipment needed to
continue this service.
FUNDING
Transfer $1,660 from the Special Gift Fund No. 88, Project No. 501002-00, Public
Health to the General Fund O1, Account 50-15-09 Health Department. This will
result in an increase in appropriations in the General Fund, Account No. 50-15-09
and an increase in estimated receipts. The expenditure will be made from Index
Code 284190.
