Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council
1) Authorize the City Manager to accept a $275 donation from Soroptimist Inter-
nat Tonal of Fort Worth and place in Special Gift Fund No. 88, Project No.
501505-00,
2) Authorize the transfer of $275 from the Special Gift Fund No. 88, Project
No. 501505-00 to the General Fund,
3) Adopt a supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing appropriations in the
General Fund, Public Health Department, Account Nca. 50-15-04 and also
increasing estimated receipts by $275, and,
4) Approve the expenditure of $275 from donated citizens funds for use in the
purchase of a full set of dentures for an elderly citizen living in a nursing
home. Services to be provided by the Community Dental Clinic at the Public
Health Department.
Background
The Soroptimist International of Fort Worth, a professional and executive women's
service club, in its dedication to serving the community, has made a donation to
the Public Health Department, Community Dental Clinic. This donation is for the
purpose of providing a complete set of dentures for an elderly citizen residing
at a nursing home with no means of income to pay for the dentures.
Financing
It is necessary to transfer $275 from Special Gift Fund No: 88, Project 501505-00
to the General Fund No. O1. A supplemental appropriation is required in the
General Fund Account No. 50-15-04, Community Dental Clinic in order to spend the
$275. Fund balance in the General Fund will be unaffected because the increase
in appropriations is matched by an equal increase in receipts. The expenditure
will be made from Index Code 290460.
