HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 9610r ~, NO . ~/~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR FISCAL YEAR 1985-1986 BY TRANSFERRING THERETO $275.00 FROM SPECIAL GIN'T FUND 88, PROJECT NO. 501505-00, AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE IN- CREASED ESTIMATED REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $275.00 TO ACCOUNT NO. 50-15-04, PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT, FOR USE IN THE PURCHASE OF A FULL SET OF DENTURES FOR AN ELDERLY CITIZEN LIVING IN A NURSING HOME; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLL- MENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby transferred to the GenE~ral Fund of the City of Fort Worth from the Special Gift Fund, No. 88, Project No. 501505-00, the sum of $275.00, thereby increasing the estimated revenue of the General Fund of the City of Fort Worth for Fiscal Year 1985-1986 by $275.00, and that, in addition to providing the City Manager ~a'ith such other revenue as may be secured from various sources included in Ordinance No. 9458 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be appropriated from the revenues thus increased $275.00 to Account No. 50-15-04, Public Health Department, for use in the purchase of a full set of denturers for an elderly citizen living in a nursing home. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordi- nance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for. any reason by a .. .~: .. - ~ ., court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the, remaining portions, sections or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 9458 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict. with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instances said conflicting provisions are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date in the minutes of the City Council and by filing this ordinance in the ordinance records of the City. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained. Services to be provided by the Community Dental Clinic at the Public Health Department. Background The Soroptimist International of Fort Worth, a professional and executive women's service club, in its dedication to serving the community, has made a donation to the Public Health Department, Community Dental Clinic. This donation is for the purpose of providing a complete set of dentures for an elderly citizen residing at a nursing home with no means of income to pay for the dentures. Financing It is necessary to transfer $275 from Special Gift Fund No: 88, Project 501505-00 to the General Fund No. O1. A supplemental appropriation is required in the General Fund Account No. 50-15-04, Community Dental Clinic in order to spend the $275. Fund balance in the General Fund will be unaffected because the increase in appropriations is matched by an equal increase in receipts. The expenditure will be made from Index Code 290460.
