AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING CERTAIN UTILITY EASEMENTS IN THE MEADOWS, PHASE
I I ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AS FURTHER DESCRIBED
HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE..
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECT ION 1 .
THAT THE utility easements. described more specifically in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for
all purposes, said utility easements lying and being situated in The
Meadows, Phase II Addition to the City of Fort Worth, be and the
same are vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extin-
guished.
SECT ION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECT ION 3 .
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef-
fect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

constructing, operating and maintaining public utilities deemed appropriate by

The centerline of a 10.0 foot utility easement described as follows
COMMENCING at the southwest corner of the intersection of the right-of-way
of Sycamore School Road and Blossom Drive. Thence south 00 degrees, 07 minu-
tes, 30 seconds west, along said right-of-way of Blossom Drive 445.0 feet to
a point i~n the east property line of Lot 38-R, Block 22, The Meadows
Addition, Phase II as recorded on the replat in Volume 388-199, Page 72,
Tarrant County Plat Records,
THENCE across the northern portion of said Lot 3 Block 22, north 89
degrees, 52 minutes, 30 seconds west 5.0 feet to the Point of BEGINNING,
THENCE continuing across said northern portion of Lot 38-R, north 89
degrees, 52 minutes, 30 seconds west for a distance of 95.0 feet, and con-

e ~~t is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating three
10'x 95', east/west, utility easements located on Lots 21-R and 23-R, Block 32
and Lot 38-R, Block 22, ten 10'x 100', east/west, utility easements located on
Lots 10-R and 27-R, Block 23, Lots 10-R and 25-R, Block 24, Lots 10-R, Block 25,
Lots 21-R, 18-R, 16-R, 7-R and 5-R, Block 31, and two 10'x 15', east/west
,
utility easements, located on Lot 14-R, Block 25 and Lot 2-R, Block 31, The
Pleadows, Phase II, as recorded in Volume 388-199, Page 72, P.R.T.C.T.
DISCUSSION
George Seagraves, on behalf of the owners of the abutting property, has requested
that the City vacate the above described utility easements, as shown on the
attached map.
The subject easements, acquired by dedication, are platted but contain no utility
facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize the vacated
easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the building area and
providing more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request. A satisfactory correction plat has been submitted.
