ORDINANCE NO. ~~/~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN UTILITY AND ACCESS EASEMENTS
LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN HAMPTON PLACE ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, SAID EASEMENTS BEING MORE SPECIFICALLY
DESCRIBED HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE portions of certain utility and access easements lying
and being situated in Hampton Place Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, said portions hereby vacated and abandoned being described
more specifically in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference for all purposes, be and the same are vacated,
abandoned, and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECT ION 2 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 .
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 5' wide
utility easement lying adjacent to the northwesterly line of Lots 31 and 32, a
15' wide access and utility easement lying adjacent to the northwesterly line of
34 and 35~ and the northerly line of Lots 36, 37 and 38, a 5' wide
Lots 33,

utility basement lying adjacent to the northerly line of Lots 39, 40 and 41, and
the northwesterly line of Lot 42, a 3.74' wide portion of a 10' wide open space
easement-lying adjacent to the westerly line of Lot 42, a 5' wide utility ease-
ment lyilig along the northerly line of Lot 43, a 3.77' portion of a 10' wide open
space easement lying along the westerly line of Lot 43, all lots being located
within Hampton Place Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-193, Page 56, P.R.T.C.T.
DISCUSSION:
Gerry Curtis, on behalf of Sid Whitener, owner of all abutting property, has
requested that the City vacate the above described easements as shown on the
attached map.
The subject easements, acquired by dedication, are platted, but contain no
utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to replat the
vacated easements with adjacent property, to expand the building area, and
provide more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request, subject to the vacated easements being replatted with
adjacent property. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
