ORDINANCE NO. ~~~5~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING 1) A UTILITY EASEMENT, AND 2) A SANITARY SEWER
EASEMENT LYING IN, ON AND OVER BLOCK 15 OF THE SOUTHGATE
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, SAID VACATED EASEMENTS
BEING DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY HEREIN; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE 1) utility easement described in Exhibit "A" hereto
and 2) the sanitary sewer easement described in Exhibit "B" hereto,
said exhibits being incorporated by reference herein for all pur-
poses, and said easements lying on, over, and within Block 15 of the
Southgate Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas,
be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and
extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

388/192 Page 12, Tarrant County Plat Records. Being a
portion of Lots 7, 8 and 20 of Block 15 of said Southgate.
Said 0.0441 of an acre of land being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a paint being the northwest
same being the northeast corner of Lot
the south right-of-way line of Plantat'
being the beginning of a curve to the
949.15 feet and whose long chord bears

Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 10' wide,
112.5' long north/south utility easement centered on the common property line of
Lots 6 & 7, 61 ock 15, Southgate Addition, Phase I , and a 15' wide 128.03' 1 ong
north/south sanitary sewer easement centered on the common property line of Lots
7 & 8, Block 15, Southgate Addition, Phase I, all as recorded in Volume 388-192,
Page 12, P.R.T.C.T.
Discussion
David Skinner, on behalf of Skinner Properties, Inc., owner of all abutting pro-
perty, has requested that the City vacate the above-described easements, as shown
on the attached map.
The subject easements, acquired by dedication, are platted, but contain no utili-
ty facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize the
vacated easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the building
area and providing more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
