AN ORDINANCE DEDICATING FOR PUBLIC USE AND HIGMAY PURPOSES
THE RIGHT OF WAY TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF uVEST
LANCASTER AVENUE, FROM FOCH STREET TO MONTGOM�ti-Y ST_R112T, IN
TII� CITY OF FORT 1,11ORTH, TARRANT COUrTTY, TEXAS.
Thi, the State Highway Commission of the State of Texas has
allocated certain funds to be used in the construction of West Lancaster Avenue,
from Foch Street to Montgomery Street, in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, said City of Fort Worth, in compliance with the said con-
tract with the State Highway Commission, is desirous of dedicating the right
of way for said street to public use, NOW9 THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY Tlig CI`i`Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That the following described right of way be dedicated for public -
purposes and use as a street and public thoroughfare in the City of Fort Worth
to be known as West Lancaster Avenue, extending from Foch Street to Montgomery
Street, to wit:
A tract of land out of the I. M. C. Lynch Survey and T. P.
Mbntgomery Survey in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an
iron in the south line of Pelham Street, said point being 50 feet
south of the southeast corner of Lot 110 Block 17, van Zandt Park
Addition; thence west along the south line of Pelham Street and
crossing the west line of the S. M. C. Lynch Survey a distance of
1650 feet to another iron, said iron being 50 feet south and 80 feet
west of the southwest corner of Lot 18, Block 19, Van Zandt Park
Addition, said point being also in the west line of Burleson Street;
thence north along the west line of Burleson Street a distance of
60 feet; thence west (for the north line of West Lancaster Avenue)
approximately 1694 feet to a point in the southerly line of Camp
Bowie Blvd; thence in a southwesterly direction along the southerly
line of Camp Bowie Blvd to the southeast corner of Montgomery Street
and Camp Bowie Blvd; thence south along the east line of Montgomery
Street a distance of 93-3/10 feet to a point (for the south line of
West Lancaster Avenue) ; thence east parallel to and 100 feet south
of the north line of West Lancaster Avenue to Burleson Street and
parallel to and 90 feet south of the north line of West Lancaster
Avenue from Burleson Street to Foch Street a distance of 4069 feet
to a point in the west line of Foch Street produced south; thence
north along the west line of Foch Street produced south a distance
of 40 feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION Ii.
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and atter
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.
