SECTION 1.
That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 483 be amended to read as follows:
There is hereby creatod and established a Board for
Examination of 11oving Picture Operators and A.ssistant Operators,
which said Board shall be composed of the Chief Electrical
Inspector, City Fire 'Iarshal, City Building Inspector, two
citizens of Fort 'dorth, one of whom shall be a person actually
engaged in the operation of a moving picture machine and the
other an exhibitor; said last two persons shall be appointed
by the I:Iayor and confirmed by the City Council, and shall hold
office for a period of time no longer than two years,"or until
the term of office of the Mayor making the appointment shall
have expired. •I-Tm-lediately upon the taking effect of this or-
dinance, persons operating Moving picture machines using in-
flammable film who have not previously been issued permits
shall immediately appear before said Board, and each shall
fully demonstrate his ability and fitness to operate a Notion
picture machine. Said Board is to be the exclusive judge of
the qualification and fitness of such applicant, and, if satis-
fied thereof., said 3oard shall issue to such applicant a per-
mit, and said Board shall charge each applicant, and said ap-
plicant s::all pay a fee of Two Dollars and Fifty Cents (V"12.50)
for such permit. 1.7ithin ten days after this ordinance shall
become a law, each and all theaters operating picture machines
employing one or more operators shall display in a conspicuous
place in the box office readily seen by patrons or inspectors
a permit reading:

Should any section, article, provision or part of this ordinance
declared to be unconstitutional and void by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision shall in no waY affect the validity of any of the rel7ainili,,- pats
of this ordinance unless the part held unconstitutional or void is inseparable
from and indispensable to the operation of the reriaininE, parts. The Cite Coun-
oil hereby declares that it would have passed those parts Of tris ordinance
which are valid and omitted any parts w rich .zay be unconstitutional if it Ilad
known that such parts were unconstitutional at the time of the passage of this
ordinance.

Any person violatinC, any of the provisions of this ordinance shall,
upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sure not to exceed Two Eundred Dollars
(612;00.00) , and each day's violation thereof shall be and is hereby declared to
be a distinct and separate offense and punishable as such.
SCTI0I1i 6.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and publication as provided by law.
